Ford 6000
The Ford 6000 is a row-crop tractor produced from 1961 to 1964 by Ford in Highland Park, Michigan, USA. It featured an economy PTO option providing full 540 or 1000 rpms at a lower engine speed (1,730 rpm). The tractor was originally red but rebuilt tractors were blue starting in 1963. It was recalled due to a number of problems. The 6000 came with either a 4.0L 6-cylinder diesel or a 3.7L 6-cylinder gasoline engine. It has a 10-speed full power shift transmission and power steering. The tractor has a closed center hydraulic system with a high-pressure accumulator allowing hydraulic function even when the tractor is off. It has a rear independent PTO with 540/1000 rpm options and a rear Type II hitch. The tractor weighs between 6500 and 7405 pounds depending on configuration and has various tire options for front and rear. Original price was $4,900 in 1967.
