Gilson 53040

The Gilson 53040 is a garden tractor produced from 1978 to 1980 as part of the B Series. It features a 16 hp Briggs & Stratton 693cc 2-cylinder gasoline engine with air-cooled vertical-shaft design. The tractor has a 4-speed belt-driven gear transmission with 4 forward and 1 reverse gear, two-wheel drive, and manual steering. It includes an open operator station and optional rear sleeve hitch. The mid PTO is independent with a manual clutch. Tires are 16x6.50-8 front and 23x8.50-12 rear. Electrical system is 12 volts with negative ground. Attachments include a 42-inch mid-mount Gilson mower deck with manual lift. Variants include the 53040 with turf tires and 53041 with ag tires.
