John Deere 8020

The John Deere 8020 is a four-wheel drive (4WD) tractor produced from 1961 to 1964. It was introduced after problems occurred with the 8010 model. The 8020s were model 8010 tractors rebuilt with a new transmission. Built in Waterloo, Iowa, USA, a total of 85 units were rebuilt into 8020s from 8010s. It features a Detroit Diesel 7.0L 6-cylinder liquid-cooled inline engine producing 215 hp, an 8-speed gear transmission, and planetary final drives. The tractor has articulated power steering, pneumatic drum brakes, and an open operator station. It has a fuel capacity of 106 gallons and a hydraulic system capacity of 25 gallons with a pump flow of 40 gpm (optional 60 gpm). Dimensions include a 120 inch wheelbase, 238 inch length, 96 inch width, and weights of 19700 lbs unballasted and 26350 lbs ballasted. Tires are 23.1-26 for agricultural front and rear, and 18.00x25 for industrial front and rear. Electrical system uses a 24 volt generator charging system.
