Minneapolis-Moline G955

The Minneapolis-Moline G-955 was produced from 1973 to 1974 as a row-crop tractor. It was sold under the Minneapolis-Moline, Oliver, and White brands, with the White model number 1870. Oliver used both the G955 and 1870 model numbers. The tractor featured two engine options: a 7.4L 6-cylinder diesel and a 7.0L 6-cylinder LP-gas engine. Transmission options included a 6-speed gear and an 18-speed three-range power shift. It had a drawbar power of about 80 hp and PTO power up to 98.8 hp tested. The tractor had two-wheel drive, power steering, disc brakes, and an open operator station with an optional cab. Fuel capacity was 40 gallons for diesel and 39 gallons for LP-gas. The hydraulic system was closed center with a 6.8-gallon capacity and 20 gpm pump flow. Dimensions included a 111-inch wheelbase, 175.5-inch length, and operating weight of 11,900 lbs. Tires varied with multiple agricultural front and rear sizes available. Electrical system was 12 volts with negative ground.
