Minneapolis-Moline was established in 1929 through the combination of Minneapolis Steel and Machinery, the Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company, and the Moline Plow Company. Minneapolis Steel contributed its expertise in tractors, having previously manufactured tractors for both Case and Bull, as well as its own Twin City line of tractors. In the late 1930s, the company introduced the UDLX Comfotractor, which featured a high-speed gearbox and a fully enclosed cab equipped with a heater and radio, making it significantly innovative for its time in terms of operator comfort. In 1963, White Motors acquired Minneapolis-Moline, and in 1974, the Minneapolis-Moline name was phased out.
