The Farmall 140 is a utility tractor produced by Farmall, a part of International Harvester, from 1958 to 1973. It was restyled in late 1963 to match the Farmall 404 and 504 models. The tractor features a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, a 4-speed sliding gear transmission, and two-wheel drive. It has a drawbar power of 17 hp (claimed) and a PTO power of 21 hp (claimed). The Farmall 140 is equipped with an IH Fast Hitch one-point hitch and a 540 RPM rear PTO. It has a wheelbase of 71 inches, weighs 3,000 lbs operating weight, and uses 5.00-15 front tires and 11.2-24 rear tires. Attachments include the International Harvester 1000 Loader with a 450 lbs lift capacity. Electrical system evolved from 6V positive ground to 12V negative ground with alternator charging in later models.
