The Ford 8340 is a row-crop tractor produced from 1992 to 1995 as part of the PowerStar 40 Series. It was built in Basildon, England and offered in two main variants: the 8340SL with a 12-speed synchronized transmission and the 8340SLE with a 16-speed four-speed power shift transmission. Powered by a Ford Genesis 7.5L 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, it delivers up to 110.3 hp tested PTO power. The tractor features two- or four-wheel drive options, electro-hydraulic differential lock, power steering, and hydraulic wet disc brakes.
