The Fordson Super Dexta is a utility tractor produced from 1962 to 1964 by Fordson, a part of Ford, built in Dagenham, England. It was also sold in the United States as the Ford 2000 Diesel. It features a 2.5L 3-cylinder diesel engine available in two versions: the original Ford-Perkins F3.152 engine producing 39 hp and an upgraded Ford diesel engine producing 45 hp. The tractor has a 6-speed unsynchronized transmission with 2 reverse gears, two-wheel drive, manual steering, and mechanical expanding shoe brakes. It has an open operator station and a hydraulic pump flow of 4.42 gpm. The rear tractor hitch is type I, and the PTO is transmission-driven with an optional live PTO and a 540 rpm rear PTO type. The tractor weighs 3510 lbs with a 71-inch wheelbase and uses 5.50-16 front tires and 12.4-28 rear tires. Electrical system features positive ground with two 6-volt batteries.
