John Deere 2755

The John Deere 2755 is a utility tractor produced from 1987 to 1992 as part of the 55 Utility Series. It was manufactured in Mannheim, Germany and Saltillo, Mexico. The tractor features a John Deere 3.9L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 88 hp (65.6 kW). Transmission options include 8-speed partially synchronized, 16-speed partial power shift, and 12-speed configurations. It offers two- or four-wheel drive with power steering and optional hydrostatic power steering. The tractor has a fuel capacity of 22.2 gallons and a hydraulic system capacity of 11.2 gallons. It includes a closed center hydraulic system with 2320 psi pressure and 1 to 3 valves. The rear hitch is category II/I with a lift capacity of 3720 lbs, and an optional front hitch with 3372 lbs lift capacity. PTO options include independent rear PTO with 540 or optional 540/1000 rpm and optional independent front PTO at 1000 rpm. The tractor weighs between 6262 and 8192 pounds depending on configuration and rides on front tires sized 7.50-18 and rear tires 16.9-24, with additional tire options available. Electrical system features a negative ground, alternator charging, and two 12-volt batteries. The 2755 was offered in orchard low-profile and high-clearance high-crop variants. It succeeded the John Deere 2750 and was followed by the 6300 model.
