John Deere 70
The John Deere 70 is a row-crop tractor produced from 1953 to 1956 by John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, USA. It was available in four variants: the 70, the diesel 70D (1954-1956 only), the high-crop 70, and the standard (wheatland) 70S. The tractor featured multiple engine options including gasoline, all-fuel, LP gas, and diesel 2-cylinder liquid-cooled engines. It had a 6-speed unsynchronized transmission with 1 reverse gear, manual or optional power steering, and differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes. The tractor's power take-off was transmission-driven with an optional independent PTO.
