The Allis Chalmers HD3 is a 1942 industrial crawler tractor built in Springfield, Illinois, USA. It was a limited-production wartime crawler with only 28 units built and is unrelated to the later Allis HD3 crawler. It features a Detroit Diesel 2-71 supercharged 2-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine with 142 ci (2.3 L) displacement. The tractor produces 35 hp (26.1 kW) at the drawbar and 43 hp (32.1 kW) at the belt. It has a crawler drive with an open operator station and weighs 7210 lbs (3270 kg) with a track gauge of 40 inches (101 cm).
