Allis-Chalmers produced a variety of industrial equipment, such as tractors, backhoes, and bulldozers. The company operated through two divisions: the construction machinery group and the industrial tractor group. In 1974, Allis-Chalmers formed a joint venture with Fiat, leading to the transfer of its construction machinery group to the newly established Fiat-Allis, now a part of CNH Industrial. Meanwhile, the industrial tractor group was sold to CDS, which subsequently sold the forklift lines to Swinger and Ingersoll.
