The Farmall A is a row-crop tractor produced from 1939 to 1947 by Farmall, a part of International Harvester. It featured an offset engine known as "Cultivision" and a wide front end. The Farmall A and B were nearly identical, with the B having a centered engine and narrow front end. Variants included the AV for vegetable crops and the AI for industrial use. The tractor was powered by a 1.9L 4-cylinder gasoline or kerosene engine, with a 4-speed gear transmission. It had a drawbar power of about 17.35 hp (claimed) and a belt power of 19.06 hp (claimed). The Farmall A had a weight of 2400 lbs and featured IH Pneumatic Lift-All hitch and a rear PTO with 540 rpm. It was manufactured in Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky, with a total production of 117,552 units.
