Built in Geelong, Australia, it features two engine options: a 4.3L 4-cylinder kerosene engine and a 4.3L 4-cylinder diesel engine. The tractor offers 5 forward gears and 1 reverse gear with a two-wheel drive and an open operator station. It has a wheelbase of 88.5 inches, weighs 6801 lbs, and uses 6.00x16 front tires and 12x38 rear tires. The AM-7 includes a rear PTO of 540 rpm and a rear Type II hitch. Hydraulics operate at 800 psi with a 7 gpm pump flow. Power ratings vary by fuel type, with diesel versions providing higher drawbar and belt horsepower. The AM-7 was succeeded by the Farmall A-514 model.
